Support for the public school

The Playa Grande School requires a lot of community support. Because it is in an area so far from the capital, the resources provided by the Ministry of Education are slim. The school has a teacher educating 30 students with learning levels that vary between first and sixth grade. Through CEPIA we hired an assistant teacher and continually raise the necessary funds to pay that salary. In addition, we collaborate with ANIA Org for the inclusion of its Tierra de Niños y Niñas program to the curriculum established by the MEP. We also organize community efforts to create, restore and maintain the school’s infrastructure and grounds.
